I spoke with Don Tate (v6mustang@verizon.net) in sales and they informed me that this lip for our V6 rear bumpers requires no modification to the bumper itself.
So for those sixers looking for a gt bumper this could be alternative to searching for a gt bumper and then adding a lip for that dual exhaust style
