One more. How is the voltage at idle? If your alternator is crapped out, and your running on the battery, you could have similar symptoms. Check voltage at idle, should be around 14volts.

Do you have an aftermarket ignition like an msd box? Sounds similar to an issue I had when my box went bad. Also, might be obvious but I'll ask anyways. Did you set the base timing to 10 deg btdc with th spout connector off?

Double check that your flywheel has the right balance weight on it. If its correct, it ould be the pressure plate. Was there much taken off the pressure plate when in hit the bellhousing?

Lol. Faulty rubber has been known to cause sagging.

Are the rubber isolators on and in good condition? Also, did you clock the spring so that the bottom pigtail is oriented correctly?

yeah, with the right parts, the stock setup can work. my brother raced SCCA ESP class with my old 87 LX with what you stated above except with hawk pads and took the class that season. pedal feel still really stinks though.

Ha, well I ditched the cobra brakes a long time ago for a baer kit, 12" rotors. Oh yeah! I have stock length axles and use 15X8 with a 5.5 bs and a 1" spacer and 26X10 tires

If you have stock length axles, a 4.5bs should be the one you want on a 8" wide rim.

yeah, i would go for the 11/12 trade in, its a much better all around package, not just power but handling and styling (at least IMO) as well. good luck! -chris
