I think it's the same as the 2011 and 2012 models, the MT-82. I don't think any manual shifts great when it's cold. After it warms up a bit then it gets better. The tranny fluid isn't too viscous when it's as cold as it has been. You can take it to the dealer if you think it's something else.

I use Royal Purple in my Engine- Tranny+ Diff. makes +6rwhp. I don't drive in cold weather, but it does shift smoother in the warm weather than it did with the stock stuff. Call the Guys at Royal Purple 1-800 882 0890 and ask them if it will help with your cold weather shifting.

In 2011, MT-82 transmissions were problematic. Definitely take it to the dealer to have it checked out. Hoping its nothing. Good luck.

That is just one of the characteristics of the MT-82. Getting into second is terrible unless the car has been running for a couple of minutes lol.

I have the Hurst shot through shifter, much better than stock. For your car they say the MGW Shifter will take care of the problem you have.

Last Call Racing has the MGW-mt82 Shifter for $390. Barton and Hurst shifters on Ebay for less $

There is a tsb for that vey problem in the 11's and 12's. Ford should change the fluid. I'm surprised they haven't totally corrected that.
