  • New electric fan switch wired up, just gotta install it back to the location, new Durlast battery is in, over flow cheap tank all hooked up until Moroso tank arrives. Then gotta get correct fittings to allow for braided lines an hoses. Then onto bigger changes. If she's leaking bad, I just may swap for a 351 this winter. We'll see though.
Everything was good, fixed a lot on the car, and now I think I've got an oil leak. Light is on to check oil, had a little smoke upon first start up that soon faded, but got back home now and see a small wet spot on the ground, check it out, and it appears to be oil. Always something. Hoping it's just from the filter, or plug, and not somewhere else.
Well I need a Flex A Lite controller switch and a coolant expansion/ overflow tank. Good thing is I can upgrade to better parts. Moroso tank looks badass and will have a drain switch and it's NHRA certified. Only issue is its plastic. Not sure how it'll do with high temps and how long it'll last.

Should I get that plastic tank or the aluminized one?

It depends on your budget, i have pics of mine in my garage, take a look, they are great tanks, the plastic ones work well also, i know alot of guys that use them on the track, you have to chose what fits in your budget

I can afford either one. Just needs to be easy to install lol. The aluminized one is $114. Might be too big though. My car was leaking coolant today from the nipple because it has no expansion tank anymore. So trying to find a simple install for it. Keith was a great help with that.
Can you register a car online? Title won't be here before DMV closes tomorrow, so trying to find an easy way to do this.
Thinking of possibly trading or selling the Notch soon. It's a beast, and a hell of a car, I love it, but miss my 02 GT more than any Stang I've had, and miss the 5 speed. Sometimes I wish I could switch the trans with my Jetta's lol. I love shifting, it's much more fun. Plus I guess I'm too use to the sounds of the modulars SOHC and DOHC designs. So I'm contemplating it, guess we'll see, only time will tell.
Anyone that's going to the Adirondack Nationals willing to give my friends son a ride in their Stang? He loves Mustangs and I promised him a ride in mine, but I'm not sure now if I'll have mine as I don't think I'm gonna have enough cash to cover the taxes at DMV. If anyone can it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure yet. I'll find out ASAP.
South Side Bars on craigslist. Is $100 a good deal?

Saw them...they don't have the mounting brackets that are suppose to be with them. If they had the brackets, maybe

Yea in that case I'm better off saving for the Lakewood. I like them better anyway.

If your talking about the lakewood liftbars, I have a set
Also found Long tubes for very cheap, along with a 140mph speedo. Looks like I might have to save an extra $180 to buy some extra goodies. Gotta love craigslist. Lots of fox parts for cheap. :D
Found my ignition switch/ cylinder for $15.99 from Autozone, and LRS has my Speedo Gear for $14.99. So I'll be looking into getting them both ASAP along with a new battery and my beast will be ready to go. $130.00 total isn't bad at all. :D

Yea pretty excited. Hoping to sell a few more things then I'll be able to put her on the road. :D
On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag system.
On all models, disconnect battery ground cable and isolate with electrical tape.
On models with tilt steering column, remove upper extension shroud. Unsnap shroud from retaining clip located at the 9 o'clock position.
On all models, remove trim shroud or shroud halves, then disconnect key warning switch electrical connector.
Place gear shift lever in PARK on models with automatic trans. or in any gear on models with manual Trans.
Insert a 1/8 inch diameter pin in the hole in casting surrounding lock cylinder. Pull lock cylinder out of housing while depressing retaining pin.
To install, turn lock cylinder to RUN position and depress retaining pin
Install lock cylinder into housing. Turn key to OFF position after checking that cylinder is fully seated and aligned in the interlocking washer.
Turn the key to check for proper operation in all positions.
Install trim shroud and extension shroud if applicable.
    Reconnect battery ground cable.
    Reactivate airbag system.
Can anyone tell me how to install or know how to install an ignition cylinder lock? I'm buying a new one very soon along with a new battery. Fan is all wired and ready to go, safety bypass in as well. Thinking of going with a yellow top Optima this time. Hopefully 2-3 weeks she'll be ready if not sooner.

No problem, lol, if he needed a lot of juice for his sound system or something than I can see him possibly needing it. But with the Optimas, you have to make sure you keep them charged up because once they go dead, they're pretty much shot.

And that's exactly what happened to the one in his notch (also a optima)

Don't sweat it Toddo lol. I'm getting a Durlast for $100 bucks from Autozone and I'll get $12.00 back for the Optima. The Durlast has a 7 year warranty, so I rather get that than the Everstart crap lol.
As much as I miss my 02 GT, I love this Notch. Was offered a 2001 Cobra with 66,000 miles. As tempting as it was, I held my ground. I don't think I could honestly let my Notch go. She's too much fun. Hoping to get big money soon and get her on the road. :D
